Resistance^®3—Get in the Game Contest

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Void outside the 50 United States, Washington D.C.(“D.C.”) and where prohibited, or otherwise restricted by law.The following promotion is intended for residents of the 50 United States (excluding Arizona) and D.C.only and shall only be construed and evaluated according to United States law. Do not proceed if you are not a legal resident of, and located in, the 50 United States or D.C.and are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. To enter, you must have internet access, a valid e-mail address, and capability to take and upload pictures in JPG format onto the internet.

1. Eligibility: Resistance^®3—Get in the Game Contest (the “Promotion”) is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and D.C., 18 years of age or older at the start of the Promotion. Employees of Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC (the “Sponsor”), the immediate family members of the Sponsor, or any of their respective parent and affiliated companies, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies and any and all other companies associated with the Promotion and the employees, agents, officers, directors, and their immediate families and persons residing in the same household (whether related or not) of such employees are not eligible to enter or win.
2. Sponsor: Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC, 919 East Hillsdale Blvd., Foster City, CA 94404-2175.
3. Timing and Location: The Promotion begins March 7, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (“PST”) and ends on March 11, 2011 at 11:59 p.m. PST (“Promotion Period”).
4. How To Enter: During the Promotion Period, dress yourself in a Resistance battle theme costume (for example, looking like you have survived an attack from the Chimera in Resistance or looking like you are in the middle of a Resistance battle).Use props, scenery, or sets relevant to Resistance for your photograph. Take a photograph of yourself in the Resistance scene. The photograph must be in JPG format and the file size must not be larger than 1MB. Ensure that no other person appears in your photograph. Navigate to http://us.playstation.com/resistance3getinthegame on the internet. Enter in your first and last name, date of birth, and e-mail address into the entry form. Upload your photograph and provide an explanation (no more than 1000 characters) of why you would make the perfect extra in Resistance^®3 (the “Game”).
5. Entry Conditions: Limit 1 entry per person. Subsequent entries will be disqualified.
6. Judging Criteria: The following criteria and criteria weights in judging Entries: (a) Brand Relevance—40%; (b) Creativity—35%; (c) Use of costume, props, scenery or sets—10%; (d) Written Explanation—15%
7. Winner:

  7.1. WINNER SELECTION. A panel of video game developers from Insomniac Games will choose the top 10 entries based on the Judging Criteria. The entrant with the top score based on the Judging Criteria will be the grand prize winner. The grand prize winner must be available to travel to and from San Diego from March 28, 2011 to March 31, 2011. Grand prize winner will be notified via email on or about March, 21, 2011.

  7.2. REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION. Winner must execute, notarize and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Publicity/Liability Release (“Affidavit”) within 36 hours of the time Sponsor sent the notification email or prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate. Return of any prize or prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected. Any entrant who does not meet the requirements of these Promotion rules may forfeit prizes or be disqualified from the Promotion in Sponsor’s sole discretion.

8. Prizes: One grand prize winner will receive a trip for 2 to San Diego, California. Trip prize package will include, round trip coach class air transportation to San Diego, California (from major airport nearest to winner’s home) and up to two nights’ double occupancy hotel accommodations for travel dates March 28, 2011 to March 31, 2011, a day at the development studio where the grand prize winner will participate in a motion capture session to be an extra in the Game, grand prize winner’s name featured in the closing credits of the Game, and ground transportation for 2 to and from the hotel, development studio, and the major airport nearest to winner’s home. ($2,500.00 Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”)). Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize of equal or greater value if prize is unavailable. Prizes are non-transferable and no substitutions allowed. Please allow 1 week for delivery of prizes and/or travel documentation.
   
   All travel details will be at Sponsor’s discretion. Prize will be forfeited if winner is unable to travel during designated time period. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay of any flight. Travel and accommodations are subject to availability. All expenses and incidental travel costs not expressly stated in the package description above, including but not limited to, ground transportation, meals, incidentals, passenger tariffs or duties, surcharges, airport fees, service charges or facility charges, personal charges at lodging, security fees, taxes or other expenses are the sole responsibility of winner. If in the judgment of Sponsor, air travel is not required due to winner's proximity to prize location, ground transportation will be substituted for roundtrip air travel at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
   
   The winner’s travel companion must be 18 years of age or older and must sign a travel release. The winner and his or her travel companion must travel together on the same itinerary and must possess all required travel documents, including visas and valid passports, if and as applicable, and comply with any applicable hotel check-in requirements, such as presentation of a major credit card. All aspects of the travel portions of the Prize must be completed by March 22, 2011. The winner and the winner’s travel companion must be available to travel to San Diego, California from March 28, 2011 to March 31, 2011. The dates of departure and return will be set with the itinerary are subject to change at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Airfare may not include government taxes, Passenger Facility Charge or September 11th Security Fee. Airline tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable and are not valid for upgrades or frequent flyer miles. Other travel restrictions and blackout dates may apply. All airline tickets are subject to the vagaries of flight variation, work stoppages, and schedule or route changes. The ARV for travel prizes may vary depending upon points of departure and destination and fare fluctuations. Sponsor reserves the right to structure travel routes and select hotels in its sole discretion. The ARV for travel prizes is an estimate made before the Promotion begins. The winner will not receive cash or any other form of compensation if actual travel costs are less than the estimate made in these Official Rules. The round trip air transportation element for any travel prize begins and ends at the point of departure. No interest will be awarded on cash prizes. Room taxes and other hotel fees are not included and if applicable may be payable at the time of check-out by the winner or guest. A deposit or payment in advance, or presentation of a credit card by the winner, may be required at the time of check-in at the hotel. Any hotel cancellations or changes to hotel reservations after confirmation must be made with the hotel directly, and the winner is solely responsible for any charges or fees arising from changes made directly with the hotel. The prize restrictions and conditions stated herein are not all-inclusive and the described above may be subject to additional restrictions and conditions. In the event the winner or his or her travel companion engages in behavior that, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, is obnoxious or threatening, illegal or that is intended to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate the trip or other applicable experience early, in whole or in part, and send the winner and his or her travel companion home with no further compensation.
9. Publicity: By accepting prize, the winner grants Sponsor the right to use winner’s name, likeness, image, voice, hometown, and biographical information in advertising, trade and promotion, including on the Internet or via wireless application protocol, without further notice, compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law.
10. General Conditions: By entering, all entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding. All entries become the sole property of the Sponsor and receipt of entries will not be acknowledged. Incomplete entries are void. Any individual who attempts or otherwise encourages, directly or indirectly, the entry of multiple or false contact information under multiple identities, by mobile telephone number, or uses any device or artifice to enter or encourage, directly or indirectly, multiple or false entries, as determined by the Sponsor, will be disqualified. Lost, illegible, or incomplete entries will be deemed ineligible and disqualified. Sponsor and their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliates are not responsible for late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, stolen, or damaged entries or for technical, hardware, software or telephone malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the sender, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Promotion which may limit the ability to participate, or by any human error that may occur in the processing of the entries in the Promotion.
    
    If for any reason, including infection by computer virus, bugs, worms, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other cause beyond reasonable control of Sponsor and their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliates, that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Promotion, and the Promotion is not capable of being conducted as described in these Official Rules, Sponsor shall have the right, at their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Promotion, and select the prize winner from entries received prior to action taken, or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor. Sponsor reserve the right to prosecute any fraudulent entries to the fullest extent of the law. At the Sponsor’s sole discretion, the winners may be disqualified at any time for any reason permitted by these rules.

    Entrants who do not comply with these Official Rules or attempt to interfere with this Promotion in any way shall be disqualified. The use of automated entry devices or any other conduct that impedes the integrity of the Promotion is prohibited. Promotion shall be construed only according to U.S laws.

11. Indemnification: By entering, all entrants agrees to release, hold harmless and indemnify Sponsor and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, contractors, directors, officers, governors, employees and agents against any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described), with respect to or arising out of either (i) entrant's participation; or (ii) the receipt or use of the prizes awarded in the Promotion, including but not limited to any claims for damage to property, personal injury, death or claims based on defamation, rights of privacy, rights of publicity or merchandise delivery. False or deceptive entries or acts will render the entrant ineligible. Sponsor is not responsible for printing errors in these Official Rules.

    Winner agrees to release Sponsor and their respective parents, subsidiaries, agencies, divisions, and affiliates from any and all liability, for loss, harm, damage, injury, cost or expense whatsoever including property damage, personal injury or death that may occur in connection with, preparation for, travel to, or participation in the Promotion, or possession, acceptance or use or misuse of prize or participation in any Promotion-related activity and claims based on publicity rights, copyright or trademark infringement, defamation or invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery. Neither the Sponsor nor its affiliates, subsidiaries, division or related companies, event administrator are responsible for any damages, taxes, or expenses that winners may incur as a result of this Promotion or receipt of prize.

12. Promotion Results: To obtain a winners’ list by mail, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to “Resistance 3—Get in the Game” Promotion, Attn: Promotions, 919 E. Hillsdale Blvd., Foster City, CA 94404. Sponsor will send requested winners’ lists within 4-6 weeks after it awards prizes. Requests for the winners’ list must be received by April 1, 2011.
13. Collection of Information: The information necessary to operate the Program is collected by Sponsor at the time of Application, and without limiting Sponsor’s rights under its Privacy Policy with regards to its use of the information; the information collected will be used to contact you specifically for operation of the Program. Information collected in connection with the Program will be collected in accordance with Sponsor’s privacy policy, available at http://www.us.playstation.com/Support/PrivacyPolicy. By participating in the Program, each entrant agrees to the terms of Sponsor’s Privacy Policy. Application information collected from entrant will be used only in a manner consistent with entrants’ consent and with these Terms and Conditions.
