PlayStation®Move brings motion gaming exclusively to your PlayStation®3 system. In addition to the PlayStation®3 system, PlayStation®Move requires both the PlayStation®Move motion controller and the PlayStation®Eye camera to track your every move and put you in the game.
PlayStation®Move has something for everyone. Whether you’re experienced, casual, or somewhere in between, PlayStation®Move has a wide variety of games including sports, action, party, family, and shooters. The games are addictively fun and the outcome of every move is all under your control.
No. PlayStation®Move is exclusive to the PlayStation®3 system.
The PlayStation®Move and PlayStation®Move games will be available on September 17, 2010.
It’s your choice: you can buy the components bundled together or purchase them separately.
PlayStation®Move redefines motion gaming with a more immersive and realistic gaming experience. The sleek, ergonomically designed controller captures a full range of movement giving you ultimate control over how you play the game.
The color of the sphere depends on what game you are playing and can change based on the activities you perform in-game. For example, if you are painting a picture with your motion controller and select red paint, your sphere may turn red.
When the sphere is flashing different colors, the motion controller is calibrating. Note when controlling the XMB™ menu, the sphere is not lit.
Every PlayStation®Move game has icons at the top of its packaging that indicate which components are "required"
and those that are "compatible." Components that are required are necessary in order to play the game; those that are "compatible" can be used to enhance your game play experience but are not necessary to play the game.
The purpose of the navigation controller is to allow you to navigate your character in the game. If you don't want to buy the navigation controller, you can also use the DualShock®3's left analog stick/D-pad. But not all games will be functional with either the navigation controller or DualShock 3 because navigating a character isn't a part of the gameplay experience. For most games, all you need is the PlayStation®Move motion controller and PlayStation®Eye camera, which is why we're focused on offering these peripherals in our bundles.
Check each game package for the navigation icon that will tell you if you need it.
Many great games are coming your way for PlayStation®Move during 2010. Here are just a few:
- Start the Party™
- The Shoot™
- Kung Fu Riders™
- Sports Champions™
- The Fight: Lights Out™
- TV Superstars™
- Lord of the Rings: Aragorn’s Quest
- Tiger Woods PGA Tour ‘11
- Brunswick Bowling
Most PlayStation®Move games only require one motion controller but some games may require two controllers for multiplayer mode.
The actual number of players supported depends on the game you are playing. However, up to seven devices can be used at once on your PlayStation®3 and up to four of those devices can be PlayStation®Move controllers.
