What does the MODE button do?
Use the MODE button to switch between six preset sound modes based on the content you are experiencing. Each Mode has been optimized to deliver a distinct BassImpact™ effect which enhances the overall audio experience. Each time you switch between modes, there will be voice confirmation.

What does the BassImpact™ slider do?
The BassImpact™ slider serves different purposes based on the MODE you are in. For Game, Music, and Movie mode, the BassImpact slider determines the strength of the pulses you feel. Move the slider towards the OFF position for softer pulses. Move the slider towards the MAX position for stronger pulses.
For Shooter, Fighting, and Racing mode, the strength of the pulses is fixed. In these modes, the slider determines when BassImpact™ will be triggered. By moving the slider towards the MAX position, BassImpact™ will be triggered more often, therefore you will feel more pulses.

Does BassImpact™ work with other devices besides the PS3™?
Yes, BassImpact™ and the MODES work with other devices that are compatible with the headset. If connecting your mobile device to the headset utilizing the included stereo audio cable, the headset does not need to be powered on to listen to content. If you want to listen to content on a compatible device wirelessly or utilize BassImpact™, the headset power must be turned on.
Note: performance of the MODES may vary depending on the device and content.

Yes, the headset and BassImpact™ technology will work with a PC or MAC.

Can I use this headset to listen to content on my cell phone or MP3 player?
Utilizing the included stereo audio cable, this headset is compatible with many cell phones and MP3 players that have a stereo audio jack. In the event this setup does not work with your mobile device, try turning off the headset power to see if the audio begins to work. You may need to purchase a standard stereo audio cable in order to listen to music using the headset.

This headset features a hidden microphone design. The noise cancelling dual microphone array provides high quality voice chat similar to the previous Wireless Stereo Headset.

Is 'sidetone' a feature in this headset (ie, when I am talking into the microphone, is my voice being played back into the headset so I can hear what I am saying)?
Yes. There are three sidetone levels high – medium – off. Out of the box, the sidetone level will be set to medium. Hold the mic mute button till you hear a beep in order to switch to the next sidetone level.

Can I use this headset to make phone calls on my cell phone?
Utilizing the included stereo audio cable this headset is compatible with many cell phones that have a stereo audio jack. Depending on your cell phone, you may need to turn the power off on the headset (if it is on) in order to utilize the headset.

How do I use the headset to listen to audio from my TV?
If you have a TV with a 3.5mm headphone jack, you will be able to transmit the TV audio to your headset wirelessly. Connect the audio cable that is included with the headset to the TV's headphone jack and connect the other end of the audio cable to the Wireless Adaptor. The Wireless Adaptor needs to be powered by any source (ie, TVs USB port, PS3™, etc). Turn on the headset power and you are all set.

How do I get the The PULSE-Elite Edition Manager (PEM)?
1) Consumer needs to download the App from the PS Store. It can be found in the Apps section – Gaming Category.2) Once the App launches, there are a set of instructions which explain how to use the App (The App uses the standard PS navigation tools. D-pad or left analog stick to navigate, X button to select the options you want)3) Up to six Modes can be loaded into the headset.4) Once you begin to download the Modes, it will take approximately 2 minutes to complete.
